hatsutokiは自然豊かな織物(播州織)の街、兵庫県西脇市で生まれました。繊細なコットン糸を多色に染め分けて、重ねるように織り上げた奥行きのある色味は西脇の織物の特徴です。

hatsutokiは特に繊細な天然素材が持つ、素朴で瑞々しい、素材のインスピレーションから、心地よく上質な日常着を提案しています。

不思議な陰影の柄が浮かび上がる[shadow]シリーズは、影織と私達が呼んでいる特殊な技術で織り上げられています。世界でもかなり珍しいこの技術は、西脇の隣町の小さな家族経営の工場で作られています。[shadow]はこの素晴らしい技術に、繊細な糸、色の組み合わせなどを吟味してhatsutokiらしい解釈でデザインしたシリーズです。
美しい生地のゆらぎ
風が吹き抜けた湖面、あるいは月明かりに照らされた山の様な、不思議な色の奥行きと連続したパターンが”影”のように浮かび上がります。特殊な装置を使い生み出す、糸のゆらぎによって生み出されるパターンは、吸い込まれるような魅力の素材です。
影織が生まれる場所
西脇市から車で30分、河沿いを上流へ、急勾配な山間に囲まれた、少し空気が澄んでひんやり感じられる場所に現れる赤い屋根の工場。夏にはホタルが舞い、夜には鹿の群れに道で遭遇する。
兵庫県多可郡多可町八千代で3代続き、家族で切り盛りする小さな工場。そんな場所で影織は誕生しました。
